Located in Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra, Cubadak Island is a stunning and peaceful getaway from the chaos of city life. The tranquil waters of the island, nestled in a bay, make it a perfect spot for diving and snorkeling. Visitors can marvel at the stunning underwater life and even record their own documentary about the island, just like a German tourist did.

How To Get There

To reach Cubadak Island, travelers can take a vehicle to Carocok Beach in Painan and then catch a speedboat to the island. Alternatively, they can take a sightseeing boat from Mandeh Port in Pesisir Utara District. The island is open 24 hours a day and it is best to visit on a sunny day as travelers will need to cross the sea to get there.

Admission Fee

There is no specific admission fee to the island, but visitors will need to pay for accommodation and other activities, such as water sports or renting diving equipment. The island is equipped with a 5-star resort and other facilities to make visitors’ stay comfortable.

What To Do Here

In addition to its crystal clear waters, Cubadak Island also boasts beautiful hills that can be climbed for breathtaking views. Trekking trails lead to the top, which takes about 10 minutes to reach. At the top, there is a small gazebo where visitors can rest and take in the scenery.
