    Gunung Padang is a hill located in the Padang Selatan District of West Sumatra.

    Its peak stands at approximately 80 meters above sea level and it is known for its stunning views and rich cultural history.

    The hill is a popular tourist destination and is easily accessible via the Siti Nurbaya Bridge.

    Upon arriving at the gate, visitors can purchase tickets and, if desired, hire a local guide to provide more information about the hill’s history and legends.

    The ascent to the top takes approximately 15-30 minutes and along the way, visitors may encounter remnants of Japanese occupation bunkers.

    At the top, visitors will find the tomb of Siti Nurbaya, a fictional character from the classic Minangkabau novel “Siti Nurbaya: Unfulfilled Love” by Marah Rusli.

    The hill also offers a beautiful park and panoramic views of the surrounding area.
